Let me summarize my plans for the next 24 hours, so you’ll stop wondering why I never update this thing anymore.

2:45-4:00: Write script for final project with group.

4:00-5:30: Start translating short story for Sunday (including learning about 100 vocab words).

5:30-6:00: Find a taxi to take home.

6:00-6:03: Take a break at home.

6:03-9:30: Translate science fiction story for final project.

9:30-10:30: Eat dinner.

10:30-12:00: Translate science fiction story for final project.

12:00-I fall asleep: BLUEBOOK.

8:30-9:00: Wake up and shower.

9:00-1:30: Translate science fiction story for final project.

1:30-2:30: Lunch.

2:30-9:30: Translate science fiction story for final project.

9:30-10:30: Dinner.

10:30-INFINITY: Translate science fiction story for final project.

INFINITY-9 AM on 21 July: Write six-page paper on science fiction story. In Arabic.

Yeah, that’s my life these days. Plus studying for the final, and also reading another 20 page short story next week.

On a serious note, it’s actually sort of bizarre how little of Amman I’ve gotten around to this year. I’ve been doing class-related things upwards of ten hours a day, which doesn’t leave much time for exploring. Part of that is because, eh, I’ve seen it all already, but that’s not really the case for other people here… I am questioning the wisdom of shipping the L3-L4 class to Jordan with so much homework that there’s no way for us to really experience it (except over the weekends, which are great, but come all too infrequently). Oh well. Can’t wait for class to be over. Then the real adventure begins. :)
